Jerry Sundahl steps down as TCN President as of
January 2007 due to health concerns

Nominations for candidates for successor and other board positions sought by
December 15 - Elections to be held in January

Jerry Sundahl, President of The Carousel Network (TCN) since January 2005, will be stepping down from his post as of January of next year due to concerns expressed by his doctor for his health (see Jerry's column on page 16 of the November/December 2006 newsletter). The timing of his departure coincides with TCN's normal two year election cycle, so elections for all Board of Directors positions will be held in January. Nominations for all categories will be accepted until December 15. Categories include President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Member-At-Large.

Duties for all positions include policy and decision making as to the course and direction of TCN, as well as assignment and supervision of tasks including meeting preparation, speaker engagement, newsletter and other literature preparation and dissemination, web site maintenance, accounting and taxes, and library maintenance (see back of this page for details).

If you would like to nominate yourself for any of the board positions, or volunteer for any of the tasks listed above, please contact TCN by email at carousel@cndsinfo.net, or by telephone at (707) 324-8881. Only TCN members in good standing (meaning that your dues are paid up, or you have a valid dues waiver) are eligible to sit on the board. All TCN members in good standing will be eligible to vote in the election, which will be held by paper ballot which will be included with your next issue of the newsletter.

Please consider what you can do to help TCN, to give back a little bit of what the organization has done to help you. Without volunteers, we may have to cut back services such as monthly meetings, the library, the web site or the newsletter!
